Pennsylvania Convention Center & American Cancer Society step in about alleged 100k performance for Cancer research.
Assistant Director of Financial aid, Brad Leak, posted a performance of himself dressed as Tina Turner shimming across the stage in heels. When asked why this performance was done, Mr. Leaks stated that the performance was done for charity. The YouTube community questioned the true intentions behind a heterosexual man dressing up as a woman shaking “a tail feather” after claiming to be a gangster that doesn’t mind pulling up to fight. Mr. Leaks began going around to different platforms on YouTube telling thousands of people that his performance was motivated by the Pennsylvania Convention Center event department as he is one of the biggest contributors towards these events. He also included that this show in particular was one of the biggest for the convention center to have for charity. Below is Brad Leak explaining how the money was raised while on company time at work.
After reviewing this video and several others on this matter, I decided to contact the Pennsylvania Convention Center and the American Cancer Society which my questions were cleared within 24 hours by both organizations. The executive team at PCC stated “The only thing we can confirm is that Brad Leak was an employee from June 1, 2010 until April 13, 2018.” I inquired about the performance that was posted being for cancer research. I explained to them that the calendar for events planned at the Convention Center are available past, present, and future on their website. I informed them that in year 2017, Brad Leak claimed that his performance, as well as others, raised 100,000 dollars for cancer research but this event isn’t on the calendar in regards to this fundraiser. There was a brief pause, a chuckle, then it was repeated again, “Brad Leak was an employee, that’s all we can legally provide to you.” I let them know that I would be sure to publicly clear up my inquiries pertaining to their company.
The American Cancer Society was contacted regarding these claims by Brad Leak and the public had the opportunity to listen in on the entire call. Below is their response.
After viewing this email and hearing the response of these organizations on my YouTube livestream, Brad Leak changed his story to fraternities being the sole contributors towards cancer research which was later donated to the American Cancer Society. He went on to say “Sigma gave 15k, AKA’s gave 2.5k, and Zeta gave 3.5k”, which the 15k will be asked to be verified. Mr. Leak story changed from what he stated in the video above to what’s in the picture below. If you take a listen to the video above at minute mark 6:15, Leak states that his fraternity gave him 15,000, the AKA fraternity gave him 5,000, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council gave 50,000 (which will also be verified). He also says “we” and when the interviewer asked “who’s we?”, Brad Leak made it crystal clear “The Pennsylvania Convention Center” which they have no public record of. The American Cancer Society requires any money being fundraised for their organization be advertised as such to eliminate scammers. Why wasn’t this event properly labeled if his claims are true?
